Physical Description: Cassidy's mostly a beach blonde with a little bit of Hollywood glam thrown in. She's not exactly tall, only 5'4" and 115 lbs, with clear-complected peaches and honey skin that's usually got a touch of a healthy tan. She's always careful to wear sunscreen, but she spends so much time outdoors that she can't help but get color. She's naturally a golden blonde, though it lightens in the summer and can darken in winter, with the length varying according to her mood. She has big, blue-green eyes with long, dark lashes, full lips, and an hourglass figure. She's usually found in jeans or breeches and riding boots when training, and is casual but trendy in her daily wear.

In were-form, she takes the shape of a Hanoverian mare, standing at 16 hh and about 1200 lbs. She's a rich chestnut with a star, sock off fore, and half-stocking off hind, with big, deep, liquid brown eyes that look almost black.

Personality: Cassidy's generally a pleasant person to be around - she's friendly, with an open smile and a welcoming nature. She loves to laugh and joke around, be with friends and have a good time. She's usually got a smile on her face and animals and children alike seem to love her. And underneath, she actually is like that, friendly and overall happy. It's just really one little thing that doesn't make her exactly the way she seems - Cassidy has no conscience. Sure, she cares if someone she cares about gets hurt or has troubles, and she'll help out if she can. She'd never hurt one of her own, though everyone else is fair game if necessary. She looks after herself first and foremost, and she doesn't care who she steps on if it gets what she wants. Once she has the prize in hand, she wouldn't care if she left nothing but a smoking ruin behind her. Note that she doesn't enjoy making others' lives hell. She doesn't take any sort of pleasure in it. She just doesn't feel an overabundance of guilt or remorse if it happens.

She's a little spitfire when angered - she's not afraid to punch and she can hold a grudge when she feels like it. She's also not hesitant to tell someone what she thinks or when they're being stupid.

Sexuality: Straight

History: Cassidy comes from a long line of champion show horses. At least, that's what her papers say. In reality, she does come from a long line of werehorses of varying breeds (though their line runs to Hanoverians and Dutch Warmbloods), most of whom usually ended up in the showing, racing, or jumping arena before long. Her three-times-great grandfather once won the Kentucky Derby, as a point of fact. Their papers all have to be forged and great secrecy is taken never to stable them at a public or shared stable, because people would wonder why the prize horses seemed to disappear from their stalls for long periods.

At any rate, Cassidy grew up in a loving (if slightly dysfunctional and entirely unscrupulous) family. She has one sibling, a younger sister named Calliope (who goes by Callie and competes as CR Hollywood Gold, a bay Dutch Warmblood); the two girls trade off who's the rider and who's the horse. The sisters spent as much time growing up on horseback as they did being horses themselves; the Morgan family owns a large training ground and ranch in northern California (the Circle R) for family members to use as well as more mundane horses for breeding, training, lessons, and pleasure riding. It's situated right between Davis and Sacramento.

It was only natural that Cassidy and Callie would go into the family business; as children they began learning the basics of equitation. While the family has had some prize racehorses, neither of the girls are jockey material. Instead, they both fell into dressage and jumping, training as riders first and then as horses when their shapes grew big enough to pass for adults. As weres, they obviously have a great advantage over regular riders - they're smarter and more self-aware, much more careful about their work, and have the sentience required to push themselves when a normal horse would have given up. It's a lucrative career; purses are worth thousands even in smaller competitions, and Cassidy's seen her share of national championships as both horse and rider. In between competitions, Cassidy graduated high school with ease, going on to UC Davis to study animal science and management with a concentration in equines. She got her BS and moved on to the MS program at UC Davis to study animal behavior.

Unfortunately, an enterprising reporter seemed to notice a strange discrepancy with the Morgan girls - namely, that while one could find the sisters together, the horses were never around. When one of the girls was with her horse, the other pair was missing, and vice versa. Cassidy's father caught her snooping around the barn one day and the matter was... taken care of. Cassidy neither knew nor cared what happened to the reporter - she could be dead, or merely relocated with a pile of cash - but it meant that the family was starting to draw attention. Her grandparents had known it would happen eventually; in their day it had been easier to avoid, but in the time of nearly instant news coverage, blogs, and Youtube mobile uploads, keeping secrets was getting harder and harder to do. Seeking a quieter locale, the family relocated the Circle R to Scarlet Oak and the wealth of ranch land to be found there, building new stable and training facilities.

Since the Light of May: Cassidy and her family see the Light of May as a total nuisance. Restrictions and examinations in the competition arenas have become much more fierce, though so far they've managed to avoid any further discovery (save the one). Cassidy's told no one of her werehorse status. Likely the tradition-steeped and somewhat snooty realm of dressage and showjumping has helped, as few would ever think someone would demean themselves by being ridden in competition as an animal.

Special Skills/Abilities: Rides dressage and showjumps at Grand Prix level, plays a bit of guitar.

Personal Weaknesses: No conscience: Cassidy just doesn't care about other people being hurt or inconvenienced in any way. She doesn't have the little voice in her head to remind her that what she's doing is wrong. She can empathize with others to a certain extent, but that's typically restricted only to family or very close friends. Half the time, that wouldn't stop her from doing something to hurt her family. She tries to avoid those situations, but otherwise takes care of herself first and everyone else never. She doesn't enjoy hurting others, but neither does she take great pains to avoid it.

Allergy: Cassidy is, ironically enough, allergic to carrots. It's nuisance enough as a human, where she has to watch everything to make sure it hasn't so much as come into contact with a carrot, but carrots and apples are the two most common treats for horses. Whenever she's in horse form around someone who doesn't know she's human, they'll inevitably try to feed her a carrot, and it's just not horselike to refuse.

Phobia: Cassidy's terrified of storms. While she can handle a good rainstorm - in fact, she usually delights in a good rain - it's the thunder and lightning that send her running for shelter. When a big storm comes along, Cassidy's useless - she experiences symptoms similar to panic attacks and has trouble focusing on anything but her own fear. Having someone with her sometimes helps, but not much.

Caffeine addiction: Cassidy's got a severe caffeine addiction. Her drug of choice is the café mocha with an extra shot and she can't make it through the day without at least four or five of them. Thank god she's got money or Starbucks would've bankrupted her long ago. Without adequate caffeine intake, she gets cranky and irritable, with bad headaches and sometimes tremors.

Personal Strengths: Intelligent: Cassidy's got some letters after her name, sure, but degrees don't always equal smarts. In her case, however, they do. She's a lightning-fast learner with incredible recall, often only having to read something once before understanding and assimilating the knowledge. There's little she forgets.

Confident: Cassidy knows herself and she knows her limits, which means when she says she can do something, she will. She's rarely rattled in stressful situations, and always knows when she can step up and take charge.
